A cardinal rule to bear in mind when selecting motor oil and other lubricants is for our consumers to follow the original equipment manufacturers’ recommended specification for lubricant viscosity and other lubricants found in the vehicle/machinery owner’s manual. If you are unsure of your OEMs’ lubricant specification, please click on one of the lubricant brands listed in the sub-menu and you will most likely find your OEM lubricant specification. Should you always stick with the OEM’s recommendation? Most definitely “no!” While you certainly shouldn’t be going against the OEM’s recommendation without good reason, extreme ambient operating conditions (e.g. very high or very low temperatures), shock loading or extreme duty cycles, or higher-than-normal load ratings may dictate that a change to the OEM’s recommendations is justified. It is always good to consult the good counsel of a lubrication engineer before selecting a lubricant viscosity grade other than the recommended one by the OEM.

Nowadays modern engines have tighter tolerances and more sensitive emission systems. If the wrong oil is put in the crankcase, it will change the three to five minutes it takes to bring the combustion chamber up to temperature. This will also alter how the variable valve timing works and can have implications for the catalytic converter. Hence, using a different viscosity oil (thinner or thicker) may cause your engine to stall, you may experience oil pressure and oil supply problems, especially in late-model engines with cylinder deactivation and/or variable valve timing (VVT). However, adding GG FRICTION ANTIDOTE to the manufacturers’ recommended specification for oil viscosity will certainly not alter your oil viscosity nor void your warranty. If you have your oil change done by a third party vendor, please ensure to have the third party vendor put pen to paper the OEM specified oil and GG FRICTION ANTIDOTE applied to your oil on the invoice/receipt when you do an oil change. That way you are covered if there is a warranty issue with your vehicle/machinery.

The running cost element in your industry will definitely reduce to significant levels when you incorporate GG FRICTION ANTIDOTE in your lubricants and fuel regimen but use a high quality oil, grease and fuel. Properly tested and maintained, high quality lubricants will provide longer life than poorly tested and maintained, lower quality lubricants.

With your favorite brand of high quality fuel, oil or grease, you will experience savings, enhanced performance and protection of your vehicle/machinery ONLY by adding GG FRICTION ANTIDOTE. It is however important to note that you should use properly tested and maintained lubricants of high quality lubricants in order to achieve longer life from your lubricants with GG FRICTION ANTIDOTE. You will not achieve the desired effects, duration and benefits of GG FRICTION ANTIDOTE if you use low quality lubricants or if you apply GG FRICTION ANTIDOTE to vehicles/machinery with inherent problems, misaligned components, operating with contaminated or inadequate lubricants, or components out of balance. Other benefits from using GG FRICTION ANTIDOTE are improved fuel economy and increased horsepower, cleaner & longer parts life (engine, transmission, gears, hubs, and fuel injectors), less wear, reduced noise and vibration, reduced emissions, less blow-by and black smoke, significantly reduced downtime, significantly reduced maintenance and running cost, longer mineral oil change intervals 40,000 miles or 63,000 km for on highway motorist using motor oil such as Shell Rotella T 15W40 mineral oil.
